December 25, 2023, is the 100th birth anniversary of Bangladesh's master architect Muzharul Islam. His works and ideas established the norms of a new architecture and influenced generations of architects that followed him. For over five decades since the 1950s, working with architecture and involved beyond architecture, Muzharul Islam was also deeply committed to the social and cultural progress of the country.

Bengal Institute for Architecture, Landscapes and Settlements plans a series of programs and events to mark the Centenary. The inaugural program in the series is a Special Seminar commemorating and discussing the life and work of Muzharul Islam around three dedicated topics.
